Maçon tailleur de pierres, Reignier était l’ami de Savardan. Il rejoignit la colonie fouriériste de Réunion (Texas) pour participer à l’expérience lancée par Victor Considerant.
Présent à Réunion en mai 1856, il serait parti s’installer à Dallas (Texas) quelques semaines plus tard. Il ne semble pas qu’il s’y trouvait encore en 1860.
