Charpentier de son état, Antoine Forette arriva de France à une date indéterminée pour participer en tant que colon à l’expérience fouriériste de Réunion (Texas).
Après la dissolution de la colonie, Antoine Forette décida de rester aux États-Unis. Lors du recensement de 1860, il vivait seul à Dallas (Texas).
